When you arrive somewhere, the last thing you want to be doing is setting up a shade tent for hours on end. You want to sit down, relax and enjoy yourself as quick as possible. That is where our Canopy Outdoor shade tents come in. The whole process takes only about one minute and provides you with quality protection from the harsh Australian sun.
Our shade tent is made to strict guidelines that ensure it provides a ultraviolet protection factor of no less than 50+. This is the highest rating of any fabric, ensuring you won’t get sunburnt under our shade tent.
Although all the different colors of the shade tents provide UPF50+ UV protection, the amount of shade underneath does vary based on color. Contrary to natural thinking, the darker the color, the cooler you will in your shade tent because it blocks out more ambient light. The white fabric is semi-translucent, so it lets some light through but blocks UV. This is not true for the darker color shade tent fabrics. So white will be the brightest and warmest underneath, with blue, green and black providing 100% shade. A real world example of this would be comparing the transparency of a white t-shirt vs a black one.
Shade tent thats up in seconds
We thought that the most helpful thing would be to show you exactly how easy our shade tents are to use; a first hand video of us setting one up in our showroom. You can see from start to finish, the whole process takes no longer than 60 seconds (not including removing the shade tent from the bag).
As you can see in the video, opening the shade tent is simply a matter of removing everything from the bag, opening the frame slightly, adjusting the top onto the frame, and then simply “popping up” the whole structure. Once up, you just raise the legs of the shade tent to the desired height.
Our pop up tent options
Within our different shade tent sizes, we have three different frame strengths depending on the application. The three versions of frame are what we call our series of frame, which are 30, 35 and 40 series. The concept of how the shade tent works remains the same throughout the different series, only the components of the frame get progressively larger, thicker and stronger. The same top and sidewalls are shared across all the different series.
