Maintenance
Just like any “working” product, marquees also need regular maintenance to ensure that they remain at their peak operation.
Marquee frame
- Regularly check that all the screws on the frame are firmly tightened. Do not overtighten the screws/bolts as this will put unneccesary stress on moving parts.
- To improve the sliding motion of the marquees legs and connectors, silicone spray can be used to lubricate the legs and sliding connectors. Spray a light coat on the lower leg and sliding connectors and allow to dry. The aluminium will absorb the silicone while drying. Lubrication should occur monthly or every 10 uses for the marquee to remain at optimal operation.
- If the marquees frame becomes covered in dirt/mud/sand, be sure to hose or wipe the frame down before storing. Dirt and grime stuck in moving parts can cause them to jam when opening/closing.
- Replace any broken parts immediately and do not use the marquee until it is 100% complete as new.
Marquee canopy
- Our polyester and PVC material can be easily cleaned with a hose or bucket of water. It is recommended that the marquees cover is cleaned regularly to remove dirt build up.
- We recommend the use of soap and water with a household mop or brush. Dishwashing liquid such as Morning Fresh also works well. Do not use solvents of any kind, only mild soaps.
- Do not wash the marquee canopy in a washing machine, a hand wash is always neccesary.
- For custom printed canopies, be sure not to apply excessive pressure or use highly abrasive brushes.
With proper maintenance as above, our folding marquees are designed to last many, many years.
