Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I choose either the 30, 35 or 40 series marquee?
We have a large range of marquees to suit your every need. Each marquee is designed with a specific use in mind. For someone that is in a high stress environment, such as the beach, we would highly recommend the more heavy duty 35/40 series. Though, if the marquee is being used in more moderate weather, the 30 series would be great. Although every marquee can be used in any situation, we have a variety so you can correctly match a marquee with your exact need.
Do you stock spare parts?
Absolutely. We have spare parts for every single marquee tube, connector, nut and bolt from all of our products. Not only that, but the pricing of our spare parts is very affordable.
How long is your warranty and what does it cover
Our 30 and 35 series marquee frames have a 12 month warranty. Our 40 series marquee frames have a 24 month warranty. Our standard packages include a 12 month warranty and our PVC packages and custom printing carry a 24 month warranty. Our warranty covers faults and flaws in manufacturing and materials.
What is included in the standard package?
With every marquee you purchase you receive a frame, top, carry bag, pegs, ropes, instructions and three solid sidewalls. The long side on each size of frame is left open (3m for the 3x3m, 4.5m for the 3x4.5m, 6m for the 3x6m and 6m for the 6x6m)
Are the covers waterproof?
Yes, all the covers on all our folding marquees are 100% waterproof. Additionally to the top cover being waterproof, all our sidewalls are also 100% waterproof.
What level of UV protection do your marquees offer?
All marquees are certified at a UV rating of UPF50+ as tested by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency. This includes our entire color range.
Are the metal connectors stronger than the nylon connectors?
Simple answer yes, complicated answer no. It really depends on the treatment of the marquee. Although both connectors are equally strong, if it is dropped often, dragged or in constant sun it would be wiser to choose metal connectors. However, only nylon connectors are available on the 30 series marquees; metal connectors are standard on the 35 and 40 series marquees.
How do the walls attach to the marquee?
Around the edge of our marquee we run a Velcro strip, the sidewalls simply Velcro onto the top cover and zip together in the corners.
How does the color of the marquee affect the atmosphere underneath it?
The darkest colours are the ones that are the coolest as they are the ones that produce the most shade. Black, green and blue all just produce pure dark shade, not letting any light through or changing the color of things underneath. The lighter colors like red, yellow and orange still produce shade, but do slightly change the color of objects under the marquee towards their own color. White doesn't change the color of objects under it.
Is there a discount if I order multiple marquees?
Yes, we can provide discounts on multiple item orders. Call or email us for a quotation.
What is the lead time for the marquee to be ready for collection/postage?
We keep a very large stock of all our varieties of folding marquees. At most times, we have between 20 to 50 items of each model in stock. Custom printed marquee tops are made to and take between 14-21 days to manufacture.
What does it cost to post the item to my home/work/business?
For us to give you an exact cost you will need to either call us for an over the phone quote on (03) 9729 4817 or drop us a quick email at team@canopyoutdoor.com.au.
If I choose to have my item posted, how long will it take to arrive?
We use an express postage courier and have daily pickups from our office. From the day your payment clears, the item will ship within 2 working days. Transit time will vary; expect 3-5 days for most of the eastern coast and 5-7 days to Perth. Delivery to remote areas will take a few extra days.
Can this marquee be used as a permanent structure?
A folding marquee is designed with quick and easy set-up and take-down. As such, it is not an ideal permanent structure and we do not recommend it for this use.
How should I secure down my Canopy Outdoor marquee?
If you are using the marquee on grass we suggest that you use both of the holes in the foot plates and the guy ropes included. The guy ropes need to be inserted through the corner cover eyelets and tied around the leg. This will secure the frame down, not the cover itself. For use on concrete/bitumen, we can supply cast iron leg weights that fit over the foot plates. Alternatively, sand bags and water buckets can be used to anchor the marquee down.
Is there any maintenance recommended on my Canopy Outdoor marquee?
Yes, some maintenance is required. Upon first use we urge that you use silicone spray to lubricate any moving/rubbing parts. We suggest you repeat the same procedure every 6 months or whenever the marquee starts to feel tight. Regular cleaning of dirt/sand/dust is also needed if you use it in situations where it is exposed to such conditions. Although locking nuts are used to hold the marquee together, we suggest that the tightness of the nuts is checked every so often.
